Topic: Horowhenua Library Services 2030

Topic type: General

A topic set up to draw together the thinking about what public library service in Horowhenua might look like in 2030.

The Library Trust is thinking about the provision of library services in the next 20 years. We have 2 new buildings planned for construction in the next couple of years and what we need to doing now is make sure that what we design now for tomorrows needs can transition to meeting our needs in 2030.

How to use this topic

At the bottom of this page is a bunch of resources which I have found relevant and thought provoking. If you find other resources which are useful please share them by adding them to this topic as a related document (if you going to upload a file) or a link (if it is an internet resource).

To record your reflections or thoughts about a resource either:

  • add a new related topic to this one, type up your thoughts and then link it to the resource itself by selecting 'link to existing' from the bottom menu (after you have saved it),
  • or add a comment to someone elses topic, link or document.
  • You can also comment on someones elses comment - so a discussion can develop around a resource.

We will also work together on compiling a document which summarizes or condenses down our findings into 2 or 3 pages. That will be a topic which we can all edit together until we arrive at something we like to take to the next building meeting on 14th October.
